DON'T JUDGE ME
READ BEFORE YOU JUDGE ME
Leaving home for my National Youth Service, I find it so difficult to make custard. Whenever I make it it's either it is too watery or it has some bumps in it.
Kai! At this age?
Hold on,
I've passed the judgement on myself before you did. Just follow me.
I felt so embarrassed. I thought to myself, assuming you are married and you are asked to make custard for your in-laws, is this how you will disgrace yourself? (You get the gist)
Chai!
I must find a way around this.
Guess what I did?
I said to myself, I will use this service year to learn how to make it perfectly. If I make mistake, I will drink it like that, till I am perfect in making it I won't stop.
So,
Since the beginning of the year till now, no month passes without me buying custard powder and ensuring I make it.
Now I am good at it. Within the twinkle of an eye, my custard is ready and perfect. With my milk and sugar, I consume it, feeling so satisfied and fulfilled.
Do you have a similar story?
Yours might not be on how to make custard.
Until you are intentional, you are not ready to grow.
Learning is not done by wishing, it is by acting(doing). I was deliberate about learning how to make custard and now I can.
Remember I said as for me, this second half of the year is a journey to productivity, don't just wish you know how to do things, put yourself to work.
For all the trainings you have done, one after the other put them to use.
Be deliberate about proudicng result.
Be deliberate about living a life of purpose.
Be deliberate about achieving your goals.
Now you understand why I said you have no right to judge me.
Be intentional
Be deliberate
